Meet Marjorie Sylvain

Marjorie is currently one of our entrepreneurs housed in the Martissant Incubator. She makes custom tailored garments and is skilled in couture. Within her time at the incubator she has created a pret a porter line which features clothes with local flavor. Rachelle Deruiseau

Rachelle Deruisseau, is currently one of our most innovative entrepreneurs at Martissant Incubator. She creates a wide line of baby food and couples it with  cremas, peanut butter, and jam. Rachelle learned from her father how to transform rice, vegetable, and corn into a refined powder which babies can easily digest. Rachelle entered our program with the vision of expanding her line of baby products and furthering her understanding of small businesss managment. Rachelle currently has 6 people working for her; each of these individuals is tasked with an important part of the process. Each of her employees work hard to ensure a consistent finished product, these responsibilities include picking locally grown rice, drying plantains, mulling the corn to sand like particles, and other necessary tasks.

Judith Gere

 Judith- is one of the most experienced "crochet makers" we have housed at our incubators. Her skills far surpasses many of her peers and she regularly has a substantial stock ready. Meet Cleta Colin,

Picture
Cleta Colin is one of the fastest learners of the bunch. Being a mother of three, Cleta entered the incubator with the ambition of preparing rich home grown coffee. While she currently produces coffee, she has added chanmchanm ( a cornmeal snack) to her collection of products. Throughout the year she also opened up a mini restaurant at the incubator where she was charged with feeding the current incubees.

Rose Mica Chery

  Rosemica Chery, has an interesting story.  She has been part of our HPCD family a bit longer then the others members of her class, which are currently housed in the incubator.  She was employed by an entrepreneur of the 2010-2011 class and has now entered our program as the entreprenuer in charge. She is ponctual and regularly works to complete her orders on time, while having an ample supply of stock for those interested. She currently has four people who work for her enterprise.


Violette Andre

Andre Violette, recently joined our HPCD  family. She entered the Martissant Incubator along with our class of 25 women for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.  She currently has three people working for her and is one of our most committed entrepreneurs within this period. She makes hand knotted  macrame sandals and has recently added jewelry to her line. Violette is a dynamic young entrepreneur which works arduously to have her vision become a reality.

Andremene Claveus

Andremene, is one of our entrepreneurs housed in the Martissant Incubator. She currently creates peanut butter and other agro-alimentaire.  She is one of the older members of this class and has undergone the least amount of formalized education. Throughout this past year, coupled with her entrepreneurial training, she has become been a recipient of our alphabetization program and grown to begin to understand elementary reading and writing excersises. She continues to pursue further education

Odeline Cayo

Trained in Couture, Cayo Odeline diligently creates each garment with finesse and precision. After a rigorous recruitment process, Cayo was selected to enter our Martissant incubator. While she has had her challenges throughout the past couple of months she has aimed to sustainably grow her business one step at a time. She has three people working with her in her atelier and currently focuses on creating under garments and children's clothing. 



Dorothy Bigord

Dorothy is housed in our Martissant Incubator and creates a number of things from beaded clutches to hand beaded jewelry to dish-washing liquid. She uses her imagination to create innovative products.

Meet Rosita Joseph...

Les Knoeux de Rosi The magic lies in her hands. Each knot is specific from the feston to the alternative knots. Each knot takes precision, creativity, and grace. Macramé is a skill Rosita obtained since grade school but it wasn't until a year ago that she refined this trade. Once refined she decided to share her talent with her community through pursuing a business. Rosita creates beautiful sandals, jewelry, and accessories. Marie Aure Clermont

Trained in accounting,  Marie Aure Clermont always  wanted to explore her child-long dream of creating art.
One day, she stopped asking the question of when and employed her macrame skills. With Marie's macrame skills she is was able to knot together an blossoming empire known by most  as "Aure Creations."  HPCD met her little over a year ago, caught on to her dream, and decided to partner with her to make it a reality.  She is currently housed in our Martissant incubator where she has over ten people working with her to create her signature piece : handknotted macrame sandals.

Meet Mardoche, our sandal crafter

Mardoche Casimir: She makes beautifully crafted leather sandals. She is currently housed in our Martissant Incubator and has been creating hand tailored leather sandals for over three years now. Meet Louisna , and her jewels

She has been creating jewelry for a couple of years now. Her jewelry is unique, she not only uses beautiful beads to adorn her creations but she also recycles . From boxes, to paper its all there. She currently has four employees and is housed in our incubator in Martissant, a vulnerable community within Port-au-Prince. She believes in a vibrant future for her family, for her neighbors, and for her country

Meet Micheline, she recycles.

Micheline takes pride in the products she creates from scratch., and is constantly looking for ways to create new innovative items. What drew us to her beautiful bags, placemats, purses, and baskets was that she created it almost completely from recycled materials. She is currently housed in our Martissant incubator where she employs three people . She strives to train others on how they can minimize trash through recycling.
